John Chapter 7. You don’t expect me to believe you, do you?
Jesus is becoming very popular as a speaker and as one who does miracles. Unfortunately there’s a great division amongst the people. Some feel he is a prophet or the Messiah. While others believe he is a deceiver or demon possessed. Even his brothers struggled to believe in him.
Some didn’t believe because of jealousy. Some didn’t believe because they didn’t know the Scriptures. And others didn’t believe because they didn’t know how to properly interpret the Scriptures.
There are a lot of teachers and preachers speaking today. Many are not speaking the truth of the Bible and yet many follow them because of their lack of knowledge on what the bible really says.
Our world is quickly being deceived into all these cultural truths to the point that the Bible has become irrelevant. People are not in the word and don’t see it as authoritative. As a result, if we even dare to speak the truth, we will quickly find many who will oppose us, just like they opposed Jesus. They will bad-mouth us and some will even want to kill us.
That’s our world today so get used to it. Be cautious and careful but never quit speaking and living the truth. Some will oppose us because they don’t want to hear the truth and some will oppose us because they truly believe in there false truths because they were indoctrinated with it from a young age.
That’s what’s happening in our world today. Kids are being indoctrinated with so much false truths that they begin to believe in it as THE TRUTH. They don’t know any different. That’s why it’s so important for us to lovingly take God’s TRUTH to the world.
