Nehemiah Chapter 9
Let’s Take Time To Reflect.
The Israelites were fasting and went before the priests and for 6 hours they were read the word of God and for the following 6 hours they confessed their sins in brokenness and worshipped the Lord. Then they reflected on all the blessings of God looking as far back as when they left Egypt to go to the Promised Land.
Perhaps we need to do as the Israelites did and come before the Lord and read God’s word, confess our sins, reflect on all the blessings of God in our lives and how he has been faithful to us even when we have not been faithful to him.
As I personally reflect back since the time we left Edinboro camp, I see how God opened the door so I had work with a contractor, which evolved into getting a part-time position at the church, which evolved into now becoming a full-time position. I reflect on how Gid opened the door for us to minister in the school at Union City. I reflect on how God has met our needs, especially financially, even when we didn’t know where the money would come from. There are so many other blessings!!!
God help us to repent of our sins, then draw near to you and your word, and be faithful as you are faithful to us.
