Nehemiah Chapter 7
It’s Not The End But The Beginning.
Once the wall of Jerusalem was completed, it was not the end but the time for a new beginning. God did a great thing and was calling his people to return from exile to the new Jerusalem.
The same for us. Without Christ, we are held in bondage of sin, in exile by the enemy and once we give our lives to the Lord, it’s not the end but the beginning of something new in Christ. We are taken out of bondage of sin into a new life in Christ who desires to lead us into a new life of holiness and a new life of servanthood. This life of being a servant means wherever we live and wherever we go, our thoughts must be: “Lord, I want to be your servant today, so put people in my path that I can serve with your love and bring the hope of Jesus into their lives.”
