Nehemiah Chapter 2
God Will Give Me Success!
One day, King Artaxerxes, of Babylon, saw how Nehemiah, his cupbearer was sad in his heart. He asked Nehemiah what the problem was. Nehemiah prayed to God for his words. Then shared how Jerusalem was destroyed, his home town, and requested that he be able to go there to rebuild the city, and even requested letters to be given to the governors to not interfere with their work. And it says that the king granted his request because God’s hand was upon Nehemiah.
While Nehemiah was there, he inspected the area and developed the team of workers to start the process of rebuilding. Some of the men of the governors mocked them because they did not want them to rebuild. Nehemiah said to them, “The God of Heaven will give us success and you have no right to even be here.”
What has been heavy on your heart? Is it a struggle in a sin area? Is God calling you into a new direction? Has he put a burden on your heart for a group of people or family? Whatever it is, speak words of faith. Remind the devil, who is opposing you, and say to him, “Devil, you have no right to be here. I’m a child of King Jesus. I belong to him and I fall under his authority, and this one and only true God will give me success!” Do this daily if need be.
God has put on my heart the welfare of the students in the Union City school, my hometown. I’m praying for God’s vision to reach more students. God has open the door to minister in the school and I’m praying the principal will find favor in the request to plan activities that will enable us to reach even more students. I’m praying God will give us success.
