Nehemiah Chapter 13
It’s Time For Restoration.
The spiritual leader, Nehemiah, left Jerusalem for a period of time, and when he returned it was amazing to see how unfaithful the Israelites became in so many areas of their lives.
Nehemiah immediately went into action to RESTORE these areas of unfaithfulness. He:
1. Restored Godly fellowship because the people let unbelievers into their fellowship and even married unbelievers.
2. Restored the Temple of God because they let an ungodly man live in one of the rooms of the Temple.
3. Restored tithing because the people became very slack in it.
4. Restored the Sabbath because people were breaking the law of the Sabbath.
May this be a lesson to us! Once we take one step of unfaithfulness, It doesn’t take long to lose focus of the Lord. If we aren’t being spiritual leaders then we set ourselves and our family up, to unfaithfulness.
