Nehemiah Chapter 11
Are You A Seeker Of Restoration And Revival?
Now that the wall of Jerusalem is completed and cities are rebuilt within Judah, more and more people who were living in exile in Babylon are now returning to Jerusalem and Judah. This is encouraging because it means more and more Israelites are being reconnected with the Lord. A definite sign of restoration to God’s people.
When I think about restoration, I can’t help but think about revival. There was a great revival that occurred at Asbury College in 2023, that spread into other colleges and churches, and in lives of individuals all around the world. Even people in Peru were captivated by this revival.
May it be the desire of our hearts to be revived with the Lord and then be a tool God uses to reach other people in our city for the Lord. The key factors for a revival are found in Second Chronicles 7:14 which says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal or revive their land.”
May we all be captivated by this verse and be one of those who repent and humbly seek the Lord so that not just our lives are revived, but also the lives of our families, of the church, of our cities, of our workplace, of our schools, etc.
