Leviticus Chapter 9
God’s Glory Revealed.
Moses instructs Aaron to offer sacrifices because the Lord wanted to appear to him and the people of Israel through his glory. So after Aaron made all the offerings before the Lord, God’s glory appeared to all of Israel. Fire came down from heaven and consumed the offering on the altar. When the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
Two things from this chapter that jump out to me:
1) Aaron and his two sons perform the several offerings just as they were taught by Moses. But this time they did it without Moses assisting them. We should never limit what God is capable of doing through our lives. But we have to be willing to be stretched outside our comfort zone. God will teach us and give us opportunity to put into practice what we are being taught.
2) God wants to reveal his glory in and through us. Just as the Israelites were obedient to God’s commands, let us to be obedient to God’s word in humility. And God’s glory will be revealed. We will see prayers answered and lives impacted for the kingdom, including our own.
Obedience + Servant’s Heart = God’s Glory Revealed.
