Leviticus Chapter 8
I Heard You’re Getting Ordained.
God commands Moses to gather the whole congregation of people before the Tent of Meeting. It is there that Moses offers up three sacrifices to the Lord and one of them is done as part of the ordination process for the two sons of the head priest. Ordination is the process the body believers go through in sending people out, in order to do the work God has called them to.
We are all called to be ordained in this world. In the Old Testament they were anointed with oil as a part of the ordination process. Today, God wants to anoint us with his Holy Spirit in order to empower us to carry out the work he has called us to.
What is your occupation or job? That is your ministry place. God wants to ordain you by anointing you with His Holy Spirit so that when you go to your occupation you become the best worker. You become a worker who loves and cares and prays for others. And when God opens the door, you are to share the message of Jesus. Live it first and proclaim it second.
CHALLENGE: 2 options.
1. Quietly go before the Lord and pray that he would anoint you with His Holy Spirit so that you can be a true Witness at your workplace and home. Or
2. Go before the pastor and or Elders of the church and have them lay their hands on you and pray for you so that you can be anointed by the Holy Spirit for ministry in your workplace and home.
I like the second option because it’s a way of having accountability.
