Leviticus Chapter 7
The Life Is In The Blood So Respect It!
God gives detailed directions on how the priests were to perform each of the different offerings. The one thing stated is not to eat any of the blood of any animal and if anyone does eat the blood they are to be cut off from the people.
The blood from animals had one major purpose: to be shed for the Forgiveness of sins for humans.
The life of an animal or human is in the blood therefore sacrifices are to involve the shedding of blood to bring life and forgiveness back to a person. Therefore, the blood is to be respected and not eaten. To eat it is to disrespect it and results in being cut off from the people. Don’t DISRESPECT the Blood!
Jesus came as a perfect sacrifice, shedding his blood for the Forgiveness of all sins for all humankind. His sacrifice is to be treated with utmost respect. We must acknowledge his perfect sacrifice as our hope for forgiveness so we can be reunited into a relationship with God. To disrespect his shedding of blood is to forget his sole purpose for coming to the Earth. To disrespect his blood is to reject his offering for forgiveness of sins. This results in being separated from God and from His people for eternity by being cast into the Lake of Fire called Hell.
Only those who respect the Life giving sacrifice of Jesus’s blood receive eternal life in heaven.
