Leviticus Chapter 5
Be Very Careful!
We have to be very careful what we say and do. In the Old Testament guilt offerings were to be given if one said something they shouldn’t have said, or made an oath to do something good but then didn’t keep it, or spoke of someone in a gossip or lying manner, or touched something unclean or unholy.
Everyday, throughout the day, we are tempted to say things we shouldn’t, especially about someone else. There are temptations always to do things we shouldn’t. How concerned are we? The slightest thought or action needs to be taken captive before God so it doesn’t keep growing deeper into sin. Stop it now! (II Corinthians 10:4-5).
If any form of evil is thought of or acted upon, confess it to the Lord for the Forgiveness of sins. And be more aware of your surroundings and temptations so you can stand strong in the Lord and be holy in his sight.
