Leviticus Chapter 3
Shall We Dine With Our Lord?
This chapter speaks about the Peace Offering, also known as the Fellowship Offering.
The difference between the Fellowship Offering and a Burnt Offering is the fellowship offering required the offerer to eat some of the offering as if to have a close fellowship time with the Lord. Kind of like two people sitting together at the dinner table enjoying an intimate meal together. The Burnt Offering was for the Forgiveness of Sins and was to the Lord only. One did not partake of this offering for food but was presented totally to the Lord for the Forgiveness of Sins.
God’s desire from us, not just a prayer of “Forgive me, Lord, of my sins,” but desires that close, love, intimate relationship where we sit with him and dine with him as we partake of His Spiritual Food through his Mighty Word, the Bible, and share our hearts with him through our prayers.
God loves us very much! May we set a time daily to dine with him so we can grow as we feed on His Word.
