Leviticus Chapter 22
Bring Your “A” Game Everyday To The Lord.
The people of Israel are told that if they bring an animal to the priests so it can be sacrificed or offered to the Lord, that it must be without any defect or will not be accepted. God wants their best animal.
When we say we’re going to serve the Lord, we are instructed in Colossians 3:17, 23 that whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we are to do it in the name of the Lord Jesus and we are to do it wholeheartedly as unto the Lord.
In other words, we need to bring our “A” game every time. Don’t be sloppy with your performance at work or at home.
What behavior or attitude must we change in order to go from “just getting something done” to “giving it my best?”
If we really did this, we’d be one of the best workers at our job. We’d invest more time in learning Scripture and learning to present his Truth to others. We’d be the best parent, or child, or student. Whatever our activities, we’d work hard to be the best that we can be. And people would see it in our hearts, in our attitudes, and in our performance. It would be a testimony of our love for Jesus because everything we do would be for Him.
