Leviticus Chapter 21
High Expectations Are Unattainable Without The Grace And Power Of God.
God speaks to the priests of the Israelites and explains how they’re to maintain a holiness before God. The expectations and standards seem very high. A priest with any physical defect was not allowed to approach God in the Tabernacle with an offering. It doesn’t seem hardly fair for those with physical defects. But it is a reminder of how holy we have to be.
But praise God he operates on the standard of our heart. As a pastor or as a priest, God does have higher standards because we are shepherds and leaders of many people spiritually. Our position cannot be taken lightly. But thanks and praise to God for the Holy Spirit that he gives every follower of Christ. Holiness cannot be attained by our own free will but by the grace and power of God through the Holy Spirit.
Personally, I feel so inadequate because I fail as a holy example. God knows my thoughts and how selfish I can be. God forgive me and help me to be more and more like Jesus. Help me to be the holy vessel you desire for Ministering to others.
