Judges Chapter 7
Who Has Got This?
Gideon is instructed to go against two armies and to trust God. But to ensure that Israel won’t take credit for the victory he tells Gideon to downsize his army. They went from 32,000 men down to 300. In essence God said trust me to bring the victory and a victory he did bring. Praise the Lord!
What is your battle? What are you facing today? Who’s in charge? You or God? Does our attitude need to be downsized? I can do this God! I got this. I’m going to do it my way and not your way.
If we can’t change our attitude, God will lovingly let us fall, or fail, so as to capture our attention.
May we approach God humbly rather than wait to be humbled. Keep praying and keep trusting. God’s going to bring a victory even through circumstances that look impossible, as he did with Gideon.
