Joshua Chapter 8
Let’s Try It Again.
God is preparing the Israelites to go into battle again against Ai. Ai had defeated them before because of sin in the lives of Israel. But they have returned to the Lord and God is ready to bless them with a victory.
God gives them a strategy that outsmarts the people of Ai and a great victory comes to the Israelites.
After the victory an altar was built and offerings were made with Thanksgiving to the Lord.
Israel had sin in their lives and were defeated by the enemy because of their sin. But God was ready to forgive them and give them another chance.
It’s the same with us. If we fail in our walk with the Lord, life isn’t over. If we return to the Lord, He is so Faithful to forgive us and cleanse us even from all the guilt. We get another chance because God is so willing to use us yet again for bringing glory to his name.
CHALLENGE:
If you are dealing with guilt, go before the Lord with a broken heart and ask for forgiveness. Then rejoice for he doesn’t just forgive you but will take away any and all your guilt so you can serve him with power and confidence.
