Why is Ministry Failing?
God has declared that he will go before the Israelites to defeat all their enemies. But Achan disobeyed God’s command by taking items that belonged to their enemy. As a result, God was not with them in their next battle and the Israelites lost 36 men. God revealed to Joshua the guilty person and said he must be destroyed in order to cleanse the Israelites. When Achan, and those guilty with him, were killed, God’s anger subsided and he pledged to go before them in battle against their enemies.
This is a reminder of how important it is to not let sin creep into our lives. Sin will affect Ministry. If not dealt with God’s Spirit will NOT go before us. What sin do we need to deal with so God’s Spirit can have full reign in and through our lives? Repent then wait and see what God does.
