Joshua Chapter 6
The Walls Came Tumbling Down.
The people of Jericho were already afraid of Israel and their God as they hid inside the walls of their city. Then to watch the Israelites march around the wall one time everyday for 6 days had to be intimidating and even scary because of the unknown. Then on the 7th Day as they marched the 7th time around the wall, the trumpet blew and they all shouted and the walls of Jericho came tumbling down. This enabled the Israelites to go into the city and kill every living thing except for Rahab and her family because Rahab had helped God’s two spies.
To watch the big wall of Jericho fall down must have been quite a sight. I have memories of facing difficult times in my life when I felt somewhat hopeless because of the circumstances. Kind of like a big wall in front of me and wondering how God could bring a victory. Tough situations that seem too difficult, are never too difficult for the Lord.
What are you facing today? What seems too big? Trust God for a victory. Trust God to open the right doors and close the wrong doors. Trust God to bring the answer that brings glory to his name.
Thank you Lord that you are in control of all circumstances. Help me to trust you always!
