Joshua Chapter 2
You Never Know Who Will Respond To The Gospel.
Rahab, the harlot from Jericho, sees and helps two spies sent by Joshua. She knows the Israelites will eventually come and destroy Jericho so she helps the two spies and protects them. She asks them that her life and her family’s lives be spared on the day they come and attack Jericho. Rahab acknowledged that God is the true God of all things. The two spies gave an oath that her and her family’s lives would be spared.
Here’s an example when God uses a prostitute for his purpose. Someone who is greatly looked down upon ends up being a woman of great faith in our Lord. She is even commended in Hebrews 11:31 and James 2:25 because of her great faith and how she put her faith into action.
REMINDER:
1. Let this be a reminder that the very people we think will never come to Jesus are the very people who may come, and not only come to Jesus, but be great witnesses for the Lord.
2. Let this be a reminder to us to love everyone because we never know who may respond to the Gospel because we loved them enough to share it with them.
