Joshua Chapter 1
Be Very Strong And Courageous
Moses has died and the people have lamented over his death. Now the time has come to cross the Jordan River into the Promised Land and possess all that God promised. Joshua has served under Moses for many years and is now chosen by God to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. Joshua was a military leader and certainly the right man for the job. But he will face a lot of obstacles but God said don’t be afraid. Don’t tremble. Don’t be dismayed. But rather he encouraged Joshua to be very strong and courageous and know that God would always be with him and encouraged Joshua to keep focused on God’s Word.
Where is or has God called you? Are you staying focused on the Lord and being obedient to his word? Be confident and be very strong and courageous. Let God use you to the fullest and to your fullest potential. Be the best that you can be for him.
What internal or external obstacles are you facing? Don’t let them overcome you but rather let God empower you and stretch you outside your comfort zone and be victorious. You can do this. Trust God! Rebuke the obstacles with confidence and see God at work.
Doors may shut in your life that you thought God would open wide. Other doors may open in areas you never thought would. That’s what is great about walking by faith and not by sight. Be very strong and courageous.
