John Chapter 9. What’s your testimony?
Jesus heals a man on the Sabbath who was born blind by making mud with his saliva and putting it on the Man’s eyes. Then he told the man to go wash in the Pool of Siloam and when he did he was healed. His neighbors began to see this man healed and couldn’t believe it. They took the man who was healed to the Pharisees. I love this encounter with the Pharisees. They can’t handle the fact that Jesus healed a man born blind. They kept questioning the blind man and even his parents. They could not bring themselves to acknowledge that Jesus was from God but kept telling the blind man Jesus was a sinner. The man’s response in verse 25 was, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know, I was blind but now I see.”
What a great testimony of what Jesus had done for this man. “I was blind, but now I see!”
What’s your testimony of your encounter with Jesus? People need to hear our testimonies of how Jesus changed our lives. How did Jesus change your life? Better yet, how is he changing your life today? A daily surrendered life to Jesus will continue to have a testimony. Once we lose testimonies, there’s a good chance we’ve lost connection with the one who changes our lives.
When Jesus came into my life, I was struggling with an inferiority complex. He changed me. Today he has continued to give me a new love for people and their needs.
