John Chapter 20
Jesus was sent to this earth for Ministry and now he is sending us.
Jesus rose from the dead three days after his death. Later, he revealed himself to his disciples and he said to them, “As the Father has sent me, so do I send you.” In other words, God sent Jesus to this earth to save the Lost, and now Jesus is asking us to go into the world and also reach the lost for Him.
And he gives them this advice:
1. Receive the Holy Spirit. We can’t function without the Holy Spirit. We need him to empower us, equip us, train us, teach us, guide us, and use us. We can’t rely on self. We must rely on the Holy Spirit.
2. Jesus said they were to forgive others. This is important when it comes to doing Ministry for the Lord. If we can’t forgive others then it stifles us from being able to move forward in love to others. Forgiveness opens the door to love and love is the key to sharing who Jesus is, and it’s the key to reaching the hearts of others. To have unforgiveness is to remove love from your heart. You can’t do much Ministry without it.
CHALLENGE: Rely on the Holy Spirit to work in and through you. Don’t let unforgiveness be in your heart. Learn to forgive so you can love others better. Love is what opens the door of people’s hearts so you can share Jesus with them. Have a blessed day!
