Job Chapter 7
There’s a Spiritual Battle In My Mind.
Some statements Job said in this chapter while in anguish, pain, and misery:
1. He is waiting for things to stop.
2. He has a bitter spirit.
3. He longs to be comforted but instead has terrible dreams and nightmares.
4. He despises life and feels his life has no meaning.
5. He feels God has made him a target as if no one else is experiencing such pain.
CHALLENGE:
Write down your thoughts of what you’re going through. Right down your thoughts of God. Be transparent. Be real with God.
Do you wonder when will it stop? Are you awake at night? Are weekends lonely? Is depression and anxiety a part of your life? Do you feel life has no meaning? Do you feel no one else is going through the same pain you are?
You are in the midst of a spiritual warfare. Don’t lose the hope of Christ!
I Peter 5:8-11 says,
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
May you find one person that you can share your heart with while sharing the same heart with the Lord. God wants to be the source of light for your life and he can bring someone alongside you to help remind you of your value, worth, and purpose. God has chosen you for a specific purpose. He didn’t choose anyone else for this particular purpose because he has chosen you. You are that special. So rise above the spiritual battle and stay focused on the Lord. He will make you victorious so you can be a source of light for others.
