Job Chapter 39
I’m In Awe Of You!
God continues to ask Job questions:
Do you know when mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn? Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Does the eagle soar at your command? Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom?
The questions only make me realize God’s great power and how his spoken words brought everything into existence and the details of each creative thing is unfathomable. It puts me in awe of God! How can I ever begin to understand the intricacies of his works? And yet God holds together all creation despite the billions upon billions of breathing creative things. And he knows the whereabouts and the needs of each one.
Let us remember Matthew 6:26 when Jesus said,
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
CHALLENGE:
Knowing this, let us persevere with patience, and let us sit before God and be in AWE of who he really is. Let us ponder all the intricacies of his wonders, and realize just how unfathomable he really is. May we be driven to thank him for how much he really loves and cares for us.
