Job Chapter 35
God: All Loving, All Powerful, and Totally In Control.
Elihu confronts Job for complaining to God, and implies the fact that he is complaining to God is a way of demeaning God as being less than God. Can we see how our complaining implies to God that he’s failing at his job and he doesn’t know what he’s doing?!? Who are we? Seriously what do I have to offer God that he would be impressed by me? What wisdom can I offer him that he would be inspired? What love could I offer that his love would grow deeper?
If we just had an ounce of understanding of his great love, great power and great control, we’d fall humbly before him and thank him for his work in our lives. We’d thank him for what we do have versus complaining for what we don’t have.
CHALLENGE:
Let us all stop and thank God for the blessings in our lives. Include any of our physical abilities, a roof over our head, place to sleep, for our family members, our trials & tribulations, our jobs, etc. Thank Him as a way of ACKNOWLEDGING His Love, His Power, and His Control.
