Pornography is a Deadly Issue.
Job, once again, claims he is blameless. He lists numerous examples of his faithfulness to God. One example he gave was when he said he made a covenant not to look lustfully at young women.
Question: how easily are our eyes captivated when we look at someone of the opposite sex? Job had to make a covenant to help ensure he did not give into temptations.
As I go through YouTube, on occasion, a provocative picture comes up. I immediately pass by it because I made a covenant to not dwell on such pictures. If I see an attractive woman dressed in “revealing” ways, I look away. I don’t even want to entertain such thoughts. We live in a world today where pornography is pushed on little kids and older and once a person gets locked on to pornography it becomes an addiction. It’s hard to break loose and it destroys relationships. And these sites don’t care about your spiritual well-being. All they care about is the money they’re going to make off from their sites. If this is a struggle, get an app downloaded on your phone and computer that helps keep you accountable. After you download the app you type in two people’s email address that you want to be your accountability partner. Then if you get on a questionable URL, it sends the URL in an email to your accountability partners letting them know you were on a questionable site.
Guys and girls, don’t flirt with this. If you are, then take steps to get an accountability partner. I had a man tell me in the last 7 days that he wants to use me as an accountability partner to help keep him off pornography sites. I commend him for that because it is a step in the right direction. Which direction are you going?
