Job Chapter 22
Meet The Needs Of Those Around You.
Eliphaz responds to Job and is frustrated because of Job’s continual claim to be innocent. So Eliphaz makes false accusations against Job stating the reason God is against him is because he has neglected those in need. He gives examples of people who were in need and neglected by Job: those in need of clothes, water, food, and accused of neglecting widows and orphans in their needs.
Shame on Eliphaz for making faults accusations against Job. But what about us? If he made those accusations about us, would we be innocent or guilty. Read Matthew 25:31-46 which calls us to put our faith into practice and help those in need (the hungry, thirsty, the stranger, those without clothes, the sick, and those in prison).
Are we more apt to be selfish or are we conscious of those around us and their needs?
CHALLENGE:
Pray that God would show you one person in need today and then be God’s tool to help that person. It’s amazing how rewarding it can be when we focus less on self and more on others. I would love to hear a testimony of what God does through you today.
