Jeremiah Chapter 9
Where Are The Tears?
In Luke 19:41 it says, “As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it.” And in Matthew 23:37, Jesus saw Jerusalem as a lost and misguided people. He longed to gather them like a hen gathers her chicks, but they wouldn’t let him.
In Jeremiah 19:1, Jeremiah says if his eyes were a fountain, he would weep day and night for the people of Jerusalem.
Jesus and Jeremiah both wept because they saw Jerusalem walking daily in sin and they knew God’s Wrath was forthcoming.
God wished that Jerusalem would weep because of their sin to the point that they would repent, but they didn’t.
God give me a Heart Like Jesus! A heart that weeps for the lost. A heart that wants so badly to reach the Lost. Put a passion and drive in my heart so that I am motivated and driven to want to reach the lost in our community and outside our community.
Our church is now putting together a team so we can evangelize our city. God help us! Call Us, Equip Us, and Use Us to touch lives with the truth of Jesus and his Salvation!
