Jeremiah Chapter 8
I Can’t Keep Living Like This!
When the people of Jerusalem face God’s Wrath, their dead bodies will be exposed for all to see. They will not be buried. Those who survive his Wrath will prefer death. God declares that most people, when they experience such horrible circumstances, always return to the Lord in repentance. But not Jerusalem. They just keep rejecting the Lord.
There are those that make decisions everyday based upon Peer Pressure. Deep inside they know that what they’re doing is wrong. But they would rather have the friends and be miserable inside than make the right choices and be rejected by their peers.
Why is it that some come to their senses and say to themselves “I can’t keep living like this!” and end up repenting of their sin and getting the help they need? While others just keep doing the same sin over and over and over again, never getting the help needed so they can experience the Peace of Christ?!?
Lord help us all get tired of sin and say “I Can’t Keep Living Like This!” Help us all repent either through your miraculous power or through the help and encouragement of a brother or sister in Christ.
