Jeremiah Chapter 11
Following Jesus Isn’t Supposed To Be A Bed Of Roses, With No Problems In Life.
Following Jesus will be the most rewarding thing you will ever do, but it doesn’t mean it will be problem free. Paul said to Timothy, “In fact everyone who wants to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” II Timothy 3:12.
Jeremiah obeyed God by sharing God’s words with the people of Judah and Israel, who were not obeying God.
After a while, God’s people conspired to kill Jeremiah because they did not want to leave their life of sin. God told Jeremiah not to fear because he was with him.
Lake Jeremiah, we get to choose if we want to live for the Lord or not. If we choose to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus, then there will be those who will oppose us. As a result they will do whatever possible to make life miserable for us: whether it be ridiculing us or doing outright physical harm. The question is, “Are you willing to follow the Lord no matter what?”
