James Chapter 5
What Drives You?
God gives a warning to the rich who are hoarding their wealth. They love money and power so much that they make decisions that destroy people but advances their own life of luxury. This made me think about politics. Is my political party my god? Is that what drives my decisions and direction for life? Or is my life with Christ what drives my decisions? I don’t want to get so caught up with a political party that I no longer think through the consequences of the decisions my political party makes. I feel many politicians are money and power hungry and make decisions that cause unnecessary suffering, and even death of the innocent. They have lost the focus of showing mercy and compassion for the less privileged.
CHALLENGE: Be a blessing to someone today using something that God has blessed you with. You Don’t have To Be A Millionaire to be able to share even the smallest blessing God has given you.
Also pray you never lose mercy and compassion for others.
