Isaiah Chapter 7
Stay Faithful to the Lord!
Judah faced an obstacle. They were attacked by Israel but Israel could not overpower them. So Israel joined forces with Ephraim and this put fear into Judah. But God spoke to Judah saying what they scheme to do against you won’t happen. In fact, God says, I’m preparing for the day that Ephraim is laid waste. In 65 years both the land and the people will be no more.
Then God shares a sign of yet a bigger hope and that’s the coming of Jesus. The sign is a virgin will give birth to a son and He will be given the name Emmanuel which means God with us. Jesus is God’s Emmanuel. Emmanuel means God With Us and Jesus means the salvation. Jesus Is God With Us to bring salvation. Judah was told this is forthcoming, but until it does, remain faithful to the Lord.
Have you ever been in a situation or circumstances that seemed hopeless and you are filled with fear or anxiety? Good news! God is at work. You Don’t see the whole picture but he’s preparing for your deliverance which is not going to happen today or tomorrow, but much later. So stay faithful to the Lord. Don’t be discouraged. Don’t give up. Trust his Deliverance in his timing and not yours. While waiting, God will work in and through your life as well. Stay faithful.
