Isaiah Chapter 65.
A New Heaven and a New Earth.
Isaiah prophesied of the coming new Heaven and new earth. A time will come when God will destroy the world and Earth we currently know because it was cursed from sin.
2 Peter 3:13 says only righteousness will dwell there. No more sin! No more curse!
In Revelations 21, God says that he will create a new Heaven and a new Earth just like Isaiah prophesied. There will be no more death, weeping, crying, or pain. It will be a perfect dwelling place. It will be heaven.
Isaiah says this new Heaven and Earth will be a place of rejoicing. A place of joy and delight. There will be no more crying and weeping. Those who died at old age will be seen as mere children. It will be unimaginable. We can’t comprehend how awesome of a place this will really be. And God is calling us into a relationship with his son so we can dwell in this eternal home. In verses 1 through 3 God is saying, Here I Am, Here I Am! He’s making himself known to the world because of his love for us. But sadly, in verses 6 and 7, there were those who will be obstinate to the Lord and those who are seeking him. To the obstinate comes his Wrath, but to the faithful comes heaven.
May we be one of those who seek the Lord with all our hearts and are found faithful.
