Isaiah Chapter 61. Anointed! Sent! Proclaim! Restore!
Isaiah prophecies the coming Messiah, Jesus, and its fulfillment is found in Luke 4:17-21.
Vs 1-4: Isaiah articulates in detail that the Savior will come and God’s Spirit will be upon him. He will be ANOINTED by God and SENT to PROCLAIM God’s Salvation for the world. He will RESTORE broken relationships bound by sin. He will fill his people with joy and praise versus morning and despair.
Vs 6: Those who receive Christ’s Salvation will have the privilege of being called priests and Ministers of God. We will have the honor of being his Servants and taking the Salvation message to those around us!
Jesus, just as you were ANOINTED and SENT by God to PROCLAIM the Good News to the Lost world, ANOINT and SEND me to PROCLAIM the same Good News so lives can be RESTORED into a relationship with you.
