Isaiah Chapter 6
Here am I Lord! Send me!
Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up on his throne. Angels appeared before Isaiah and he was afraid for he knew he was a sinner in the presence of the Lord. And one of the Angels took a live coal from the altar of God and touched his lips saying, your sins are forgiven. And the Lord spoke, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? Isaiah responded, “Here am I, send me!”
Then God commissioned Isaiah to go and speak to the people and said they would not listen and as a result they would be destroyed along with their land. But God said there is still hope because He would send his Holy Son who would save his people.
Praise the Lord! Jesus has come and still is wanting to draw people to himself. But how does he do it? He loves to use his people, his followers. So he is asking us today, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for me?” I pray we would respond as Isaiah did, “Here am I Lord, send me!” May that be the beginning of God working in our lives, forgiving our sins, giving us new vision and passion, while equipping us to reach lost souls and revive the church.
