Isaiah Chapter 58
“I Can’t Hear You!!!
Vs 1: God says, shout out loud the sins of my people. They are living in sin.
Vs 2-5: They cry out to me for answers. They even fast. They do all this expecting me to answer them, but I don’t, because they are a wicked people.
Vs 6-7: God defines what their wickedness is. They practice Injustice. They oppress the people and have no concern for the poor, the hungry, the naked and those with no shelter.
Vs 8-9: God said if you respond to the needy then you will experience my healing and intervention. Your life will be changed. You will be full of righteousness and my glory will shine among you and guard you. Then you will call upon me and I will answer you.
Vs 14: Be obedient in these areas then you will experience my joy and you will triumph.
Do you feel like God is far away and that he’s not listening?
1. Perhaps he’s teaching you PATIENCE or that his TIMING is different than our TIMING.
2. Perhaps he has heard you and has answered, but you refuse to accept his answer.
3. Perhaps your Christian walk is very self focused. Perhaps God is teaching you to be more attentive to the needs around you, and then respond to those needs.
So get your spiritual life in order and see if God does not hear your prayers and respond.
