Isaiah Chapter 54
There’s a Future Glory That Awaits Us: Found in Jesus!
God sees the distress of his people and declares to them: you who are not able to have children, sing and shout for Joy because a future glory is coming when your descendants will greatly increase. You who live in fear and are put to shame because of your sin, Sing and shout for Joy because a future glory is coming. Because of your sin, God abandoned you and hid his face from you. But Sing and shout for Joy for God’s compassion will be poured out upon you demonstrated through his everlasting kindness and unfailing love. As a result:
– God will call us back into a new relationship with him found in Jesus.
– God’s covenant of Peace will not be removed. This is great hope for us because Jesus wants to give us peace through the best and worst circumstances of our lives.
– Our children will be taught who the Lord is and will receive this peace that comes from Christ.
– God’s people will live a righteous and holy life, different from the world, and will no longer live in fear.
– And if our enemy attacks us, Our God will protect us and give us victory.
This message is for us today. Are you walking with the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? God is calling you back to give you the glory that was promised to us through Jesus. Because of His compassion, everlasting kindness, and unfailing love, God wants to give you this new relationship found in Jesus. He is pursuing you. Are you pursuing him?
