Isaiah Chapter 44.
Don’t Be Afraid.
God calls out to His people and says, “Don’t be afraid!” God declares that he will bring water where the land is dry and the stream beds are empty. He will pour out his Spirit upon his people and they will grow and mature and they will not be afraid to say, “I belong to the Lord!”
Do we truly understand what this means for us today? God is wanting to take what is dead and bring it back to life. He wants to pour out his Spirit upon us. Those whose hearts are dry and empty he wants to fill. He wants to raise up the Dead and give it Life. Not just a life that breathes but a life that grows and matures in their Spiritual walk. I mean grows abundantly and they are not afraid to say, “I belong to the Lord!” “I am a follower of Christ.”
Imagine the testimonies that will come because hearts were opened and receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit, being empowered with boldness and confidence to live a Godly and Holy life and not ashamed to proclaim the Gospel message, the salvation of Jesus Christ. Imagine the people turning from sin and surrendering their lives to Christ! This is what happens, this is real. God is looking for those who will not be afraid and will say fill me with your Spirit and use me mightily for the kingdom. May that be our hearts desire.
