Isaiah Chapter 31 and 32
Restoration and Confidence
God says woe to those who rely on Egypt which was a strong military power. God’s people rejected him and turned to godless nations for help. God declares to his people: the day is coming when those who you look to for protection will be destroyed by his hand. Then he declares that HE will deliver his people. In those days THEY will return their hearts to the Lord and reject the idols and teachings of the godless nations.
Because in those days, a king (King Jesus) will come and reign in righteousness and restore his people to himself. He will also restore their land so that it produces fruit once again.
If God can take a nation and turn it into a body of believers who serve God with all their hearts, bless them, equip them, empower them, and restore them so they produce good fruit for the kingdom, then don’t underestimate what he is able to do in and through you and I. He can take you, along with your sin and lack of confidence, and transform your life so that it impacts others for the kingdom of God.
