Isaiah Chapter 10
Don’t Be Just A Bumper Sticker Christian.
I don’t have bumper stickers with Christian sayings, but if I did I’d get some that said,
“I go to church, so should you!”
“I lead youth for Jesus!”
“I preach Jesus!”
“I tithe over 10%!”
If people read these, some may be impressed. Here’s the problem, if I’m a great bumper sticker Christian, but a sloppy Christian in my everyday walk, then WOE to me!
We read how the Israelites were God’s “chosen” people, but their walk with the Lord was sloppy to say the least. They followed other gods and were not faithful to the Lord God. So God’s wrath was poured upon them.
Let us not be sloppy Christians. May people, not see our bumper stickers about Jesus, but see Jesus in our hearts and in our everyday walk. Let us do what God asked the Israelites to do, REPENT of our sloppy ways and receive his forgiveness and restoration so that we can walk faithfully with the Lord doing the work he has called us to do. Do it today!
