II Thessalonians Chapter 2
Know, Stand Firm, and Hold Fast to the Gospel of Jesus.
Paul confronts the issue regarding Jesus’s return for there was a rumor that Paul had been preaching that Jesus had already returned and was living on earth.
Paul sets things straight that Jesus won’t return until the day of rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness comes exalting himself claiming to be God. Yet he will promote evil. But Jesus, upon his return, will easily overthrow the evil one. Yet people will follow the evil one and be easily deceived.
But, as followers of Christ, we need to stand firm and hold fast to the teachings of the Gospel. Sadly, Christians are easily being swayed over to our cultures truths versus the Bible’s Truth because the word of God is not being read or studied by many Christians. And many denominations are preaching worldly truths instead. As a result, the truths they are being bombarded with, within our culture, has slowly become their truth.
Please, I urge you, let us be in God’s word daily so we KNOW THE TRUTH, then may we STAND FIRM in God’s TRUTH, while HOLDING FAST to the teaching of God’s TRUTH even amidst persecution.
Don’t let yourself get sucked into the beliefs of our culture. Blessings!
