II John only has one chapter.
Walking With Christ Brings Joy!The writer of this book is full of great joy when he hears of those walking in the Truth. He expounds by saying that those walking in Truth (Obedience) is an act of love for God because to love God is to walk in Truth and Obedience to his Word.
He gives a warning to the church to watch out for false teachers who deny Jesus as coming in the flesh and teach truths that are proclaimed by our culture and our world. Such people are called deceivers and the antichrist. Be careful you don’t get sucked into such teachings.
1. I pray that my life brings God great joy. So God help me walk in obedience to your Word.
2. I pray that my life will be an encouragement to my family and friends resulting in them pursuing and promoting Christ for themselves and their families. That would give me great joy!
3. Lord, help me to be faithful and to not compromise my faith with the teachings of our culture and of this world.
