II Corinthians Chapter 4
Focus on the Eternal Things and not the Temporary Things.
Paul speaks of the ministry God has called him and others to. He mentions things about the ministry we can all learn from.
1. The ministry exists, not because of our accomplishments but because of God’s mercy. May we never become arrogant because of successes in Ministry but may we always give God the glory.
2. May we always strive to be holy servants and not get caught up in the practices of this world.
3. When we present the GOSPEL, don’t water it down to make it more “attractive” to others. May the GOSPEL always be preached in truth so we don’t lead people astray.
4. Don’t ever lose heart because our struggles in life are only temporary. We need to focus on eternal things. It’s easy to get discouraged if we focus on our struggles in life which are temporary. If we keep our eyes on Christ and eternal things, then we persevere and don’t give up. That way God’s message keeps being proclaimed and lives keep being impacted for the kingdom, including our own.
