I Thessalonians Chapter 3
Help me Lord!
Paul encourages the Thessalonians because of the persecution they were facing. Paul reminds them that persecution comes when one is walking in faith in Christ. Paul was filled with joy to hear that they were standing firm in their faith despite the persecution they faced.
Paul prayed for them that their love for each other would grow and overflow. He prayed that God would strengthen their hearts so that they would be God’s holy people, blameless, and full of integrity.
Lord, help me present Christ in love. And if that brings persecution, help me that I would stand firm in my faith like the Thessalonians did. Strengthen me so that I am able to persevere whatever the enemy throws my way. Also, help me to be holy before you and to be a person of integrity. I want my life to count for you. I want my life to be a tool that points people to you and not to myself. I pray your Holy Spirit would help me to be all that I can be for you. Thank you!
