Hebrews Chapter 6
Be Careful and Beware!
The writer of this chapter make some very strong statements that have troubled many of Christians over the years.
1. The chapter starts with emphasizing how important it is to have a faith that is always moving forward so that we’re learning more and more and more and more and more and more of God’s Word and his Truth.
2. The troubling statement for many starts with verse four. It implies that it’s impossible for a person who has received Christ and been empowered by his Holy Spirit, only to reject him and return to a life of sin, it is impossible to be reunited again with Christ.
3. I’m not sure what all that means 100% for sure but I do know this: be careful and beware of where your heart is because the passage says afterwards God is aware of our works for him and he is fair in his judgment towards us. In other words, we get what we deserve because he knows our inner hearts.
4. May we daily love the Lord our God with all our hearts, soul, mind, and strength and to always love our neighbors.
Don’t become lazy or complacent with your faith walk. Don’t even start in this direction for it is a dangerous path so be careful and beware.
