Hebrews Chapter 5
Could You Teach God’s Word To Someone?
The writer tells about the practice of the high priests in the Old Testament and how they made sacrifices for sins, even for themselves, because even they were not perfect. So they were constantly making sacrifices for the forgiveness of their sins.
But when Jesus came on board, he died for our sins ONCE and for ALL people. His righteousness for our unrighteousness. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Holy Spirit. And we too can have this new life if we surrender our lives to him.
This is good news for us!! But what do we do with it? Are we like the Hebrew people who accepted Jesus, and should have been strong in their faith and understanding of the Bible, but instead they had limited understanding of the Bible cuz they were concerned with their life in other areas. As a result, they weren’t walking with the Lord in righteousness and holiness. They should have been qualified to teach others but still needed to be taught the basics.
