Hebrews Chapter 2
What He Said Was Going To Happen, HAPPENED!!!
Throughout the Old Testament, God spoke of the coming salvation through his Son Jesus. The prophets, and even the angels, foretold of this coming salvation for the world. The Scriptures from the Old Testament that spoke of the coming Messiah, were fulfilled and are available for all to read in the New Testament.
The miracles that Jesus performed, the persecution he faced, the death he under went, are all evidence that he was God’s chosen one for the Salvation of the world. The greatest evidence was his resurrection from the dead. This gives the final testimony of his power of salvation for all who believe, for just as he died and rose again into New Life, so we, who are dead in our sins, can experience a new life in Christ who forgives us of all sins. For those who receive Jesus into their lives receive his Holy Spirit and gifts which also give testimony of Jesus’s salvation because it becomes evident through our lives, if we are faithful.
The Hebrew writer gives us a warning, that we are to be very careful to what teachings of Jesus we listen to so that we don’t end up accepting false teachings of Jesus and drift away from the truth of his Salvation.
