Hebrews Chapter 13
I Need To Be Reminded Of These Things!
In this chapter we are exhorted to do a number of different things. Here’s just a couple that were mentioned.
1. TO KEEP ON LOVING ONE ANOTHER. The words “keep on” makes the assumption that we have never stopped. But have we? Who has wronged us? Do we still love them or do we have bitterness and unforgiveness in our hearts towards them?
2. REMEMBER THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING AS IF YOU YOURSELF ARE SUFFERING ALSO. It’s easy to have an attitude that says, “I’m suffering, pay attention to me!” And if I’m not suffering then it’s easy to have the attitude that says, “I’m sorry you’re suffering but I don’t have time for you right now!” We want people to have time for us, especially if we’re hurting. May we learn to set aside our busy lives and take time to come along those who are hurting.
Seriously! How many lives filled with hopelessness have been saved by that one person who said you’re important and I’m taking time to be with you!
