Hebrews Chapter 1
Jesus is Superior Over All!
Before Jesus came to Earth, God spoke to his people through the Prophets and even used angels to speak and minister to his people. It would have been easy for them to see angels as miraculous beings. Yes, they were doing miraculous things for the Lord but God never intended for them to be worshiped. They have never been able to accomplish what Jesus accomplished.
Jesus shed his blood, died, and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins and to give us a new life through him.
The book of Hebrews declares Jesus as having authority over all people and things, including angels, and including any “spiritual” Heavenly beings. In fact Jesus created the angels. God has commanded that we and his angels are to worship His Son. Sadly there are religions that worship angels instead of Jesus.
Who is your number one love? Who or what do you worship? Are you worshiping Jesus or are you worshiping a created person or thing? That which consumes our heart, is what our heart is worshiping. Why worship that which is created when you can worship the one who created all things?
