Genesis Chapter 15
God Has A Plan!
God had a plan for Abram but circumstances made it difficult for Abram to see how it could come to pass. Abram had no children. None of God’s plan made sense but God guaranteed Abram he would have a child and from that child would grow a great nation of people, more numerous than you could count.
God said it, and Abram believed it. God credited his belief as a righteous act. Not because he believed in his mind or words, but because he believed it in his heart.
God has a plan for our lives, but all too often it becomes easy to be overwhelmed by our “negative” circumstances. When our focus is on our circumstances and not on the words of God, then we lose faith and trust. We might say with our mouths that we believe, but if it’s not in our hearts, then we fool ourselves.
Righteous faith comes from the heart. We sin when our faith and trust is not found from the heart. If it’s not from the heart then we get fixated on our circumstances versus on God’s ability to carry out his plan.
God has a plan for our lives and future. Do I trust him to open the doors for Ministry opportunities? For speaking opportunities? For his provision? Yes, I believe, not with my head but with my heart. Sadly, it’s a battle and I have my bad days of lacking heart faith. God help me with this belief even when circumstances become less favorable.
