Genesis Chapter 13
Trust God and Be Kind To Others.
Abram continued to travel where God led him and continued to go before the Lord in prayer and worship. And God continued to bless Abram wherever he went.
May we be ones who seek the Lord daily, trusting him for direction for our lives. May we not fear the unknown but trust God to give the necessary wisdom and peace in our hearts for his will for our lives.
I was also impressed on how Abram handled the dispute between him and Lot. They both had several flocks and herds and couldn’t share the same land for grazing. Abram let his nephew, Lot, have first choice on what land he wanted. Whatever Lot chose Abram took the opposite direction because he knew God would take care of him no matter what land he ended up with.
May I be that kind to others while trusting God. We often aren’t so kind because we fear what we’ll get stuck with. If we can incorporate total trust in God then I feel we would become less selfish, more giving, and even more likely to lend a hand.
